Paving Contractor Serving Greater Houston and Harris County

American Paving has been a Houston paving contractor since 1984, and our yard on Navigation Boulevard in the East End puts our crews within easy reach of the whole region. We build and repair commercial pavement for industrial plants, warehouses, retail centers, schools, churches, municipalities and property managers across Greater Houston and Harris County.

Every project gets the same in-house crews and equipment, whether it is a pothole repair in Midtown, a truck court on the Ship Channel or a new parking lot in a growing suburb. That is how we keep quality consistent and schedules predictable from one side of the region to the other.

Houston Paving Built to Last, Season After Season

Pavement in this region fails for local reasons, so we design for local conditions.

Expansive clay soil

Most of the Houston area sits on clay that swells when wet and shrinks when dry. We evaluate the subgrade and stabilize it with lime or cement where needed before any base or pavement goes down.

Heavy rain and flooding

Flat terrain, bayous and tropical storms mean water has to leave a site quickly. We build in correct slopes, inlets and storm sewer so water does not sit on the pavement and soften the base.

Heat and sun

Long summers oxidize and soften asphalt. Regular parking lot maintenance and sealcoating keep surfaces flexible and extend their life.

What to Expect When You Call

Whether your property is around the corner from our yard or out in the suburbs, the process is the same.

  1. Site visit. An estimator walks the property with you, looks at the pavement, the drainage and how traffic uses the site, and asks about your schedule.
  2. Written estimate. You get a clear scope and price, with options where they make sense, such as repair now versus replacement later.
  3. Permits and planning. We identify what the city or county is likely to require and coordinate with your engineer or general contractor when drawings are needed.
  4. Phased construction. Our crews work in phases with traffic control so your business, plant or property stays open.
  5. Final walk-through. We review the finished work with you and talk through a maintenance plan that protects your investment.
